Assign password protect for folders (Ploud6)

Created by Kim Thiel, Modified on Tue, 6 Aug at 4:56 PM by Erik Kulvinskas

Ploud has a feature where you can password-protect a folder and its subfolder's content. The public can view this content if they are given the password. When a password-protected folder is selected from the main navigation, the user will be challenged to enter a password (see below).

You could use this feature to create a restricted board member area or support for community members-only club information.

Note: The content of a password-protected folder, including the root folder, will be available for viewing when the correct password is entered for any folder in the sub-directory.

To assign a password, go to any folder and from the left toolbar, select Assign Password

On the following display, enter a password that users will enter to access the password-protected area.

In the Reason field, enter the reason users will see that a password needs to be entered to access this folder. This message will be displayed in an information banner on the password challenge page (see below).
